Product in and out of the studio.

Music + Video

Here is an example of some of my music work. Stylized, and edited by a friend up in Nashville. Sets built by yours truly. Hot lights and constant lighting is a different beast than working with strobes, but with a good light meter, the theory comes out about the same.

DAM

As I don’t have a lot of departments to differentiate, I organize primarily by dates. I learned years ago that YYYY-MM-DD works best for me to run through all of my work, followed by description.

From there, it’s all keywords — People, places, events, lighting setups, even cat and dog names (the most important category). This allows me to pull files of a certain person, or specific combination of people, or anything from one location over the years.

Using IPTC metadata to manage copyright is huge for me as well. As you can see, being able to append metadata in a batch is important to me, and I enjoy being able to use these tools to be as efficient as possible.

Digital Creative

A small desert scene produced in Illustrator — I was aiming to evoke the idea of a diorama here.

Fight night, but make it literary. Created with stock photography and vectors in Photoshop.

Before + After

Just to give you an idea of before and after work, either on a location, or more importantly in the studio, including lighting setups.

I’d also like to highlight some of my personal creative work, The Upper Hand. The goal was to tell a story about relationships, and using counseling and mediation through hardships in which each face card plays a different role.
